How To Find Link Partners

Many webmasters who are just starting out need to face the biggest obstacle in achieving top search engine rankings which is finding link partners and gaining one way links. This actually can be very easy if you know the right resources and have the right knowledge on how to get people to link to your site. The best three methods of link building are reciprocal links by finding partners manually, providing excellent content that is worth linking to, and using link bait. 

Finding link partners manually is in my opinion still very effective and provides results. You can simply search for relevant websites that have similar content to yours and ask the webmaster to exchange links. Many people say that reciprocal linking doesn't produce results but I don't agree. I believe that reciprocal links still are highly valuable and count towards your search engine rankings.

 How do you determine which website is relevant? Well, for some people it's very obvious, but there are webmasters that still ask that question. In my opinion if your website is about "internet marketing" you can say that a website with content about "search engine optimization" is highly relevant. But on the other hand a website about "cooking" or authority news site wouldn't!

 Why high PR authority links are not as good as you might think? Well, because the owners of those websites started selling links from their authority pages. This has caused Google to stop those sites from passing PR. For example, I have noticed many gambling sites buying links from those high PR websites as well as other irrelevant websites. Now if Google allowed this then anybody with a big advertising budget could influence the search results and achieve top search engine position for the keyword phrase they want to rank for. Google is not going to allow this to happen. Don't try to buy PR8 or PR9 links because that's just a fast way to Google sandbox for a long time. I have made that mistake many times and I have learned my lesson to not buy high PR links anymore.

Next method of getting links to your website is providing high quality content that is worth linking to. This is actually pretty hard but the best way to achieve top search engine rankings. If you offer something free or quality articles that are not published anywhere else then you might get one way links from other webmasters. You would be surprised how many bloggers are looking for fresh content so they can go and post on their blog. If they like your article or the freebie that you have on your website then you might not only get a link but also free targeted traffic.

Another great way of getting links is to use link baits. What is a link bait? Link bait is something that causes webmasters to link to from their websites because of its usefulness. This actually is pretty easy to do.

The site above provides simple seo tools that are useful to webmasters and they can use them for free. Those tools are simple php scripts installed on their server.

The website above received recently a homepage link from AOL.com

As you can see using link bait is a highly effective and pretty sneaky way to get one way links. It's almost viral actually. If you have something funny then it's enough to get one important site to link to it and it will spread all over the net.

Tips:

- Always try gain links with your anchor text in it if you do reciprocal linking 

- Do not buy high PR links!

- Write articles (also great way to gain one-way links)

- Write press releases (excellent method to generate links and traffic at the same time)
