Is it true? Well, not really in my opinion. I know many of you read the “Death Of Internet Marketing” report by Mike Filsaime, which got many of you upset as well.
When I first read the report I was mad. I thought to myself, so what about the little guy? How are we supposed to make it in this business without jv partners?
Mike Filsaime tells you to go and create an exclusive group of people that you will do jvs with. But how a little guy can do it if he doesn’t have a list or a high traffic site? Nobody will want to team up with that little guy because he doesn’t bring anything to the table.
Well, there are many ways that you could use to get you to that level without the jvs. Many of you forgot the power of press releases.
You need to do one step at a time. Create a product that is in demand within your niche. Then start the prelaunch phase and write a few press releases to build your notification list. Promote it in some ezines and newsletters.
Then launch the product. If you could make $1000 in one day which is possible with $97 product without any jvs or affiliates, then that’s excellent. Now if you are selling through clickbank then you are also increasing your marketplace rankings which will get you more affiliates as well.
By repeating this process a couple of times you would establish yourself as an expert within your niche and develop pretty good size list of customers.
Now you can go and ask some people to do jv with you because you got something to bring to the table. I think this a great way to do it.
Don’t just concentrate on internet marketing niche. There are so many other even more profitable niches out there that are just waiting to be discovered.

Don’t forget – everyone was a “little guy” in the beginning. The natural progression though is one most people have a hard time understanding. With all the hype in the IM world, people naturally expect to become gurus overnight, commanding JV after JV with the biggest and best known list owners with little effort.
The fault lies with both parties: People hyping opportunity on the web and people who believe the hype.
The biggest victims are those who don’t quickly recognize the difference between fact and fiction in order to put their business efforts on the right track.
I could have used Mike’s report in my first two years of “suffering” online!

I agree with you Jack that everyone was the little guy once. The problem is that those big names in the internet marketing industry forget how they got to the point where they are right now.
If nobody helped Mike with his products he would never make it this far. And that applies to many other “gurus”.
I believe that the little guy can also come up with a great product that is highly in demand, but if he can’t find jvs it will be much harder for him to break through.
I also agree with Mike Filsaime that there is just too much hype all over the place and people think they have to promote each other’s products.
Mike says that we need to create closed groups of people who we do business with, but who wants to do business with someone who doesn’t have a list or high traffic site to do jvs?
I think it’s possible to break through without any jv partners by doing good online promotion by yourself.
You need to have something to bring to the table so you can be noticed, otherwise it will be very difficult.

You have a very nice website that is very informative on Internet Marketing.
And I also agree about what you said about Creating a product that is in demand within your niche. Then start the prelaunch phase and write a few press releases to build your notification list. Promote it in some ezines and newsletters.
Thanks for the info.

Which one do you think is much better? E-mail Marketing or Pay Per Click Advertising.,, I have tried using both E-mail marketing and PPC Advertising to advertise my products and both seems to do equally well.
