Great Quality Score – How to boost your quality score on Adwords
I was experimenting with some new CPA offers and landing pages for the past few days and found a great way to boost quality score for my Adwords campaigns.
The concept is simple. Use RSS feeds to create keyword specific content pages. The key here is to display the feeds so of course they are visible to search engine spiders and then cloak the outbound links so the link juice is not getting passed and it looks like you are linking to your own pages but don’t let spiders to index it.
I used Carp Evolution to display feeds. It’s a nice useful RSS Tool that you should have in your arsenal.
Anyway here is what I did…
I created a landing page for the “employment” and “jobs” market promoting one of the offers I found on Neverblue Ads. Then I got a new domain name and installed the Carp Evolution on it. Next, I went and found rss feeds that stream job postings for different states. So now I created an html file for each state like this “illinois-jobs.html” etc. On those pages I inserted Carp’s code to display feeds and cloaked them so the links are not naked urls. Carp lets you do that with their “Click” plugin
I also included the robots meta tag in each page “nofollow, index”. This means that Google can index those pages but not follow any links..lol
Next I created a footer with links to each page that displays jobs for each state. I also added some specific job pages like finance jobs, administrative jobs etc.
Ok now I was ready to start the campaign and see what happens. I bid on keyword “jobs” and if you have ever tried to run a campaign for this keyword then you know how hard it is to keep it active without getting slapped with at least $10 min bid.
Anyway, here is quick snapshot of the stats:
As you can see it was just “OK” but it keeps running steady. I had it on now with limited daily budget for 2 days and now I am getting ready to bump it up a lot higher.
Now keep in mind that this a brand new domain name that was not indexed on Google yet or had any inbound links. I think that’s pretty good for such competitive keyword.
Try this technique for your own campaigns. I think you will get some great results. Imagine what you could do with less competitive niche.

Lamont,
Actually it’s doing quite well. The quality score is still only OK, but I am able to get consistent traffic from those keywords
