I also agree with Mike Filsaime that there is just too much hype all over the place and people think they have to promote each other’s products.

Mike says that we need to create closed groups of people who we do business with, but who wants to do business with someone who doesn’t have a list or high traffic site to do jvs?

I think it’s possible to break through without any jv partners by doing good online promotion by yourself.

You need to have something to bring to the table so you can be noticed, otherwise it will be very difficult.

I agree with you Jack that everyone was the little guy once. The problem is that those big names in the internet marketing industry forget how they got to the point where they are right now.

If nobody helped Mike with his products he would never make it this far. And that applies to many other "gurus".

I believe that the little guy can also come up with a great product that is highly in demand, but if he can't find jvs it will be much harder for him to break through.

Don't forget - everyone was a "little guy" in the beginning. The natural progression though is one most people have a hard time understanding. With all the hype in the IM world, people naturally expect to become gurus overnight, commanding JV after JV with the biggest and best known list owners with little effort.

The fault lies with both parties: People hyping opportunity on the web and people who believe the hype.

The biggest victims are those who don't quickly recognize the difference between fact and fiction in order to put their business efforts on the right track.

I could have used Mike's report in my first two years of "suffering" online!
